View the next generation of Falcons. This is right across the street, SJ City Hall, from my library. What a joy to watch!!! The pidgeon population declines a little bit each day though . . .
5/1/5/09 UPDATE: the babies were all banded this morning. Mom was flying overhead screeching at the top of her lungs (I went outside to hear it). All is well now.
NOTE: All the babies have fledged so this webcam is gone until April 2010 when we welcome Clara back again.

What cute, fuzzy babies! It looks like there are four of them. Thanks for sharing this. They truly are a joy to watch.
I forgot to ask,how old are the chicks?
Pam
Three were born on 4/20 & the 4th on (or around) late 4/21, possibly the 22nd. The camera is on at night but you can't see them very well.
Last year, 3 were born on Earth Day and the 4th egg never hatched. I can't believe how big they are already!
This is my third year "watching" and it gets better every year. Now we all start worrying about the chicks falling off the ledge or not being able to fly, etc.
In a couple weeks, they will be banded so they can be tracked when they leave the nest. One fromlast year has remained in the area; the other two have been spotted hundreds of miles away.
Wow! What an amazing story. How interesting one stuck around town and the others are so much farther away. Again, thanks for sharing your experience.
